‘Living Walls’ art project launches in East London

Living Walls is a major art project as part of the LLDC’s Art & Culture strategy which aims to create world class art for everyone to enjoy around Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Commissioned artists include Jo Peel, Jeremy Deller, David Shillinglaw and Mark McClure.

Mark McClure’s UPHOARDING installation is a 250 metre long artwork which celebrates the significance of sustainability, up-cycling and recycling in the modern world. The UPHOARDING features a series of original vertical sculptures which have been forged from locally sourced materials, including set pieces from the forthcoming feature film LONDON FIELDS. Starring Billy Bob Thornton, Amber Heard and Johnny Depp, LONDON FIELDS was filmed at 3 Mills Studios and on nearby locations in August & September 2013.
